YHC was pumped to Q again at Shawshank. The moisture, the blocks, the humidity…thankfully humidity was missing. 2.5 showed up for SL (Lego and Coon Dog put in a strong showing while YHC showed up late and put in less distance). 5:26am was showing on the watch and then, out of nowhere, headlights appeared in the distance. 7 other PAX showed up in time for the one minute warning. YHC prayed and then 10 of us moseyed to the block pile.
Nick showed up a tad tardy…first time ever. We all assumed it was because he was adjusting straps on his tactical wear so a few minutes late because of extra weight is downright okay with this group. Solid showing today, Nick.
Weather: perfect for mid-June. Low 60’s, low humidity, soft, tender croaking of crickets in the background. Perfect morning ITG. The fields were the perfect moisture.

Return the blocks and mosey to bear crawl bridge. It was apparent the guys missed bearcrawling back to the shelter as the mumblechatter, led by H&R, was a consistent pleading to bearcrawl the bridge. Bearcrawl we did. The form was great, pace was spectacular, and breathing was under control. No problem for this group of studs.
We found ourselves in the picnic shelter for some Mary. 1 minute of 6 inches, 50 lbc’s, and 15 v-ups. We ended with 75 calf raises and 10 merkins IC. Great work, men. It is always good to be with this group and leading a BC is a rewarding experience. Nothing but positive talk throughout the 45 minutes.
6 year Shawshank anniversary on Saturday, 6/20. SL at 5:20am and BC at 6:00am. This will be epic. Coffeeteria to follow.
Young man, swim with the Luvin’ Spoonful trio, badly burned. Prayers for recovery and his family.
Brother-in-law of coworker of Coon Dog on a vent with COVID.
Close in prayer.
Devo: Isaiah 41:10 – Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
This is a great promise to those who belong to God. He is a great Father who protects His children. I was thinking of this verse after Lego’s devo on Tuesday. We are not alone in this world. F3 brothers are a great encouragement and used by God, but God is the one who truly upholds us and gives us courage.
