Prologue

Day: Thursday, 11/14
Time: 0630
Our heroes are cold, tired, and wet after a the beat-down handed to the PAX lead by one of our own, Sir Topham Hatt. We have nothing to fear from our past, so we look ahead to our future… Saturday. Saturday is fast approaching and our heroes feared the worst… the Q sheet is empty. Nobody to lead us. Nobody to get us better. The two Depot leaders, Fool’s Gold and Moose, decide to make the call; Call on the only ones who can save us, lead us out of a Q-less Saturday, mystery men hidden behind the masks of secrecy. Saturday 11/16

Perfect mid-40s weather, minimal wind, and full absence of the previous day’s threat of rain. Anticipation is rising for the first mystery Q to show his face. Bottom of the hour, 0630, it is time.

Fool’s Gold

Mystery #1 has been revealed. After the cheers died down and tears of joy wiped away, the warm up begins:

  • SSH x 15
  • Through the Tunnel x 15
  • Mountain Climbers x 10

Warm ups are over, PAX are ready for what we call the PT test. Partner up, group 1 starts with Merkins, followed by group 2. Then a short rest before starting back up with group 1 Big Boys then group 2. Good work was done but the PT test is not complete. Next a 2 mile run… shorted up to 0.5 miles. Adding hills and curves along our path… it basically adds up to 2 miles.

PAX have finished their treacherous run. Time for mystery Q #2 to reveal themselves.

Lumbergh

Only a few of our strongest PAX survived the reveal. After we composed ourselves, Lumbergh took the lead. No single hero is without faults; a rough past, a dark secret, but in Lumbergh’s case, he dropped Chippy.

Thanks to his quick speed and soft moisturized hands, Chippy was okay. Let’s move on. PAX met at the bottom of the Depot driveway. Our hero decides to play a game, a game of trust, endurance, and hate. Shoot the messenger:

  • 1 designated PAX (the messenger) calls out an exercise
  • All other PAX perform 20 reps of said exercise
  • The messenger Mosey’s backwards up the Depot driveway, around Chippy, and sprints back.
    • Running backwards allows the messenger to watch the destruction they’ve just laid upon the group.
    • Sprinting back allows the rest of the PAX choose to destroy the messenger or spare his life.
  • The exercises performed:
    • Hello Dollies
    • Jump Squats
    • Merkins
    • Burpees
    • Monkey Humpers

Lumbergh’s time of leading has come to a close. It’s time for the next reveal.

Moose

The all powerful Moose is our next mystery Q. The PAX can relax knowing that our next leader is all muscle with a mathematician mind. We grow not only with our strength with his leadership but we all grow our mind by figuring out how to perform his 11s exercise. Moose instructs the PAX to grab a block and line up along the parking lot. The PAX are to perform figure out how to count descending and ascending at the same time. On one side of the parking lot we perform 10 reps, we then Cusack to the other side and perform 1 rep. Descend and Ascend your reps; Numbers will always add up to 11.

Sir Topham Hatt

PAX could not believe it. This man who was one of us for 3 quarters of the workout, steps out from the shadows and takes the lead. We’re saved once again. STH leads us to the playground.

Our hero decides to pull out a legendary exercise; one that the grounds of Depot have not seen in over 48 hours. Yes, a Thursday repeat! If it was so good once, why would anyone think that it would be just as good if not better 48 hours later!

PAX split up into their original PT test groups once again. Exercises are performed and Groups switch off.

  • Dirty Hookup x 15 / Pull-ups x 10
  • Dirty Hookup x 15 / Pull-ups x 10
  • Dirty Hookup x 10 / Pull-ups x 5

PAX put the blocks up and gather around the flag… wait what?! there’s no flag! Lumbergh races to his car and the flag is revealed and shoveled into the ground. We now know where to circle up.
