Surge Takeover – Part 1

YHC was excited to get back to where it all started at The Hollow.  WeeWee and I have been posting over at Surge since October 2017 and working to get that AO going and we have been extremely appreciative of all the other AO’s helping out with Q’s and showing the new guys what F3 is all about.  Thought it would be fitting to show our appreciation by doing the “Surge Takeover” for this week and giving the PAX what we hope to be a great workout.  Below is how it all went down:

The Gloom:

Conditions – 46 degees, cooler than expected with the wind but nice

Mosey about the parking lot and stop for COP:

SSH x 10IC

Squat x 10IC

Imperial Walkers x 10IC

TTT x 10 IC

Windmills x 10IC

The PAX counted off and we had 21 PAX so we partnered up in groups of three, grabbed a block, and then got to work and started with some DORA exercises in the parking lot and courtyard…

PAX started in the parking lot…PAX 1 did the exercises, and PAX 2 & 3 ran loop around parking lot with a detour to the courtyard for BTTW (Balls To The Wall) shuffle starting at one cone and ending at the other, there is a set of cones on both walls in the courtyard so BTTW on both walls and return to flapjack with partner.  One PAX does two loops and then exercises.  Exercises and reps below…

Block Burpees – 100

Lunges (Blocks OH) – 200

Curls for the Girls – 300

Time running low so we put blocks away, the head over to the soccer field and PAX line up and sprint 100 yds, do 10 merkins at the finish.  Do 10 more merkins and AYG to the Shovelflag.

Prayer Requests:

PAX family sickness – flu specifically for All 9’s and Cramps

Ranger’s family

Slum Lord’s co-workers grandson in ICU

Parking Lot grandmother in hospital

Announcements:

The big announcement for the day was the transition of AOQ from Inspector Mom to Iron Mary.  Both of these men have been great leaders for F3 Lexington and will continue to do so.  Inspector Mom did a great job of leading the Hollow men over his year and through the Lexington “Red October” expansion and keeping the numbers up for the Hollow.  Iron Mary will no doubt continue this trend and will continue to expect nothing but the best for the Hollow crew.
