The normally understated Lego strutted into the Shawshank gloom this am knowing his VQ the week of his 39th birthday was going to be a beatdown. Lego has been a loyal Shawshanker for many months, apparently very quietly plotting his massacre. After 45 minutes of downPAINment, Lego boasted to the 28 pax who posted, “I am awesome. I am successful. Deal with it.”
Ok, maybe that’s not exactly how it went but we had a good time with a little misspeak by our fine QIC. It was, by all accounts, a well delivered VQ that left the pax smoked.

Devo by Lego: From Charles Swindoll: “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude in life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change or past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you…we are in charge of our Attitudes.”
-This was a smokefest. Long suicides and a lot of merkins. Well done, Lego.
-As pointed out by Quisenberry, what’s with all the recent birthday Qs at Shawshank? Nothing at all wrong with it, just an odd coincidence.
