YHC went to bed last night having just looked at the forecast. Rain was a definite so a beatdown was planned for under the shelter. Hank Williams was ready to make an appearance on the speaker and it was going to be a Shawshank hoedown throwdown. Keep it clean. My conscience was clear, I set the alarm to go off well after stride lite started and slept like a baby full of milk and wrapped tightly in a blanket. Not a bad night.
The alarm went off, I hopped out of bed, peeked out the window and noticed a dry sky, little breeze, but no rain. Wonder of wonders, the shelter only bootcamp would have to wait for another day. I left in a hurry to get in a little running. Upon my arrival to weekly fantasy camp, aka – Shawshank, I noticed 3 vehicles belonging to not your everyday type of men who did show up for stride lite in spite of the forecast. T-claps to these men who did the harder thing and inspired me to pull on my galoshes for a jolly time no matter what the forecast shows. The doppler will keep me down no longer.
1 minute warning, disclaimer (manner of speaking), no fng’s, opening prayer.
Mosey to a well-lit island for 20 burpees.
Mosey across the street to the other shelters…close to the sand which made my main man Dunphy excited. One day, Dunphy, one day, we will go back in the sand and frolic.

75 pull-ups, 150 merkins, 150 squats, 75 burpees for those keeping score.
Mosey towards the shelter adjacent to the shovel flag with one minor stop on the way. 7 pax held the Al Gore pose while Cheers bearcrawled from one light pole to the next. Actually, Cheers bearcrawled and the rest of us started a quiet mosey back to the shelter. Poor, little fella was left behind. He makes me laugh but Elvis pulled him away from the pull-ups for a bit so he needed the extra work. Thanks for being a good sport, Cheers.
Upon said arrival to the shelter:
25 decline merkins
Flutter kicks, Hello Dolly, more Dips, one lap around 2 islands, and The Ramrod closed out our time together.

Devo: Deut. 6 The LORD our God, the LORD is one.2 5 You eshall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 gYou shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
We have to know God if we are to teach him to our kids and others.
