The Thang:

We moved over to the planters for a set of 11’s 10-box jumps and 1 incline merkin. We keep going until we get to 1 box jump and 10 incline merkins.

Mosey to the basketball court

High Knees across and run back

Lunges across and run back

Bear crawl across and run back

Gorilla walk across and run back.

We got blocks from the block pile and went back to the blacktop. It was at this point YHC realized that he forgot to call the burp & merk (check it out here). When YHC announced he found it on the exicon the pax erupted in cheers (or was it jeers, there was something about banned all future Q’s from internet use).

Next up was ring of fire. The first trip around had the pax hold the press position (that was a good idea on paper) but quickly turned into a shoulder press. Second trip was curls for the girls. Third trip was tricep extensions. Last trip around was block swings.

Mosey to the hill next to the track (leave blocks on blacktop).

Triple nickel was called. Run up the hill-5 merkins-run down the hill-5 big boy sit ups for 5 reps. This also was a crow pleaser.

Return blocks and slow mosey to the shovel flag (which as totally up the whole time).

Finished up with Mary

Devo: YHC recalled a video called I Am Second with Tony Dungy. It is a reminder that we as individuals are second and God has to be first. If we seek happiness and even love on our own we will always fall short. We have to remember that Christ is first and we are, at best, second. YHC also took a minute of personal privilege to say that 2019 has been a very good year, better than many recent years and a large part of the credit goes to the men of Turning Point and F3 Lexington. Here’s to an even better 2020.
