Weather: Picture perfect, dry & cool morning
The Thang:
Warm Up – SSH x50 in cadence.
The PAX then made their way to the brick cage where each PAX picked up 2 bricks. From there, the mosey continued across the Woodshed grounds, arriving at the tennis courts where the PAX lined up on the sideline of one court, placing the bricks to the side (for now).
High knees down the length of the courts, butt kickers back.
Karaoke down and back.
Side shuffle (Frank Martins) down and back.
Walking lunges with bricks down the length of the courts, stopping before returning. Adjusting slightly to make sure no damage was done, bricks were placed to the side before splitting the way back between Bear Crawl and Broad Jump Burpees.
From there, the PAX went on a mosey (picking the bricks back up) out of the tennis courts and down to the lower playground where they partnered up for a Dora variation.
100 pushups. 200 overhead presses. 300 squats. All with the bricks. Each pair would rotate between having one work on the reps, while the other jogged the length of the wooded dirt path with their bricks. When all pairs were complete, a round of planks was completed by the group before jogging back to the tennis courts.
At the tennis courts again, PAX completed the Bear Crawl, Broad Jump Burpee combo one more time to get better. Mosey back to return the bricks and then to the flag to finish with some Boat/Canoe and Russian Twists until time was called.
After announcements and some mumble chatter, Holy Poker closed out the morning at Woodshed with a great devo to start the day. From 2 Corinthians 6:2 “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
Reflecting after bootcamp this morning I couldn’t help but think about how blessed I am to have these PAX and all of F3 in my life. -Ash
