Surge Takeover — Part 2 (No Weinke and probably not FNG friendly)

It’s been awhile since YHC has been over to the Hollow, so Escobar and myself decided it would be nice to pay these boys back for all the help they have given to us at Surge to help get that new AO up and running.  Escobar brought it on Tuesday so now it was YHC’s turn to try and bring it.  To start the morning off we had 14 guys show up for StrideLite.  Below is what went down:

Conditions:  Mid 50’s with a little wind, but very nice.

1 minute warning

Disclaimer and Prayer.

JailBreak to the track around the back side of the school.  On the way to the track YHC noticed that the gate to the tennis court was open so an audible was called.

Line-up on the sideline of the tennis court and perform burpee/bearcrawl suicides.  The “village crew” was extremely confused so only 1 set was performed.

Mosey to the track.

We divided up into groups of 7.  Each group lined up in a single file line (plank position).  While all PAX held plank the one in the rear bear crawled to the front (like a Indian Run) this was rinsed and repeated until each PAX bear crawled at least 3 times.  Recover.

In the same groups we then lined up again single file and this time each PAX performed LBC’s in a single file line while the one in rear performed burpee/broad jumps to the front.  Again this was rinsed and repeated until each PAX went to the front 3 times.  Recover

At the far corner of the track.  Sprint the straight away.  Bear crawl half of the turn, burpee/broad jump the 2nd half of the turn.  Sprint the straight away.  Bear crawl the 1st half of the turn, burpee/broad jump the 2nd half of the turn.  Recover

Next round.  Sprint the straights and backwards run the turns.  Recover

Mosey back to the courtyard.

People’s chair for 60 secs

Balls to the wall for 60 secs

Mosey to the SF.

Devotion From Oswald Chambers My Utmost for His Highest

Romans 14:7 None of us lives to himself.

Has it ever dawned on you that you are responsible spiritually to God for other people? For instance, if I allow any turning away from God in my private life, everyone around me suffers. We “sit together in the heavenly places…” (Ephesians 2:6). “If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it…” (1 Corinthians 12:26). If you allow physical selfishness, mental carelessness, moral insensitivity, or spiritual weakness, everyone in contact with you will suffer. But you ask, “Who is sufficient to be able to live up to such a lofty standard?” “Our sufficiency is from God…” and God alone (2 Corinthians 3:5).

“You shall be witnesses to Me…” (Acts 1:8). How many of us are willing to spend every bit of our nervous, mental, moral, and spiritual energy for Jesus Christ? That is what God means when He uses the word witness. But it takes time, so be patient with yourself. Why has God left us on the earth? Is it simply to be saved and sanctified? No, it is to be at work in service to Him. Am I willing to be broken bread and poured-out wine for Him? Am I willing to be of no value to this age or this life except for one purpose and one alone— to be used to disciple men and women to the Lord Jesus Christ. My life of service to God is the way I say “thank you” to Him for His inexpressibly wonderful salvation. Remember, it is quite possible for God to set any of us aside if we refuse to be of service to Him— “…lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified” (1 Corinthians 9:27).
