Big #TClaps to the #F3MidlandsTour for finally joining us at Crypt.  Honor to have us and the squeaky wheel has been greased.  There may be another squeaky wheel at C.A.T. now.  Great fellowship this morning and some solid fitness as well.

BOM/Devo

No scripture to quote for this one; however, I’m sure that it wouldn’t be difficult to find some to support it.  This devo comes from what was placed on my heart after being forced to watch The Greatest Showman.

The 2.0’s wanted to have a movie night a couple of weeks ago and the M picked out The Greatest Showman as the movie to watch.  It hit multiple reasons for not wanting to watch it; it’s a musical, it has Hugh Jackman who skips leg day, and just didn’t seem to interest me.  However, I sacrificed and watched the entire movie…and it was AWESOME!

The biggest takeaway that I had from the movie was this, PT Barnum (the main character) had a dream of providing things for his family that he never had growing up.  He followed through with that dream, with that being the main focus at first.  However, after success started to roll in the focus changed and his reason, his why changed.  His focus switched from family to work and was ultimately drawn away from his family because of this.  In the end, he was able to refocus on what was important and realized that the greatest show was with him the entire time…”everything you’ll ever want, everything you’ll ever need, is here right in front you…this is where you’ll want to be”.

So think about what are you sacrificing to chase your dreams.  Are your priorities out of line?  Are you running off to finish more work, or are you running off to the greatest show at home?  Are you sacrificing time in prayer with your family to finish a task at work, or are you sacrificing 10-15 minutes of work time to spend time in prayer for your family?
