Pick a card at Turning Point

9 PAX posted for a non-burpee inspired Booster Q. I had a deck of “fit” cards that have been in my all-purpose drawer for a while and I decided to bring them out and see what the PAX picked.

Conditions- overcast, 70ish and humid

The THANG- the following exercises were performed. Not in this specific order. The PAX would jog to a corner of the track, 2 PAX would select a card, YHC would look at the card, if I liked the exercises the card showed then we would do that, if I didn’t like it, then we would modify. YHC determined the reps I think everyone got better. We didn’t do one true burpee as promised. Most of the time we moseyed between corners, but every now and then we did the penguin walk. Cobains if I left some out, we picked a lot of cards in an hour.

Devo:

Matthew 8:22- Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.

In the devo, I explained that I am saved by grace, with faith, through Jesus…but if I’m honest- am I submitting my everyday life to follow Jesus. Here in Matthew- Jesus isn’t speaking specifically to making funeral arrangements- Jesus is telling His follower not to neglect the spiritual calling of following Jesus. Where are we falling short in our everyday lives?
