(Posted on Behalf of MacGruber)
This was my second adventure to visit the men of TurningPoint ®. I got out there a little early to set up and get a mile warmup in. 1 for a mini SL. I thought it was going to be a 2 pax workout but with 3 minutes to go 9 cars flew in, some on two tires. Wapner decided he needed to remind me it was a BC and not a running AO. With the temperature at a balmy 25 degrees we kept our bodies in movement, regardless of which day of the week it was. I think he enjoyed it in the end – It’s much better than being still and freezing.
Conditions: The weather was cold, like I wish I didn’t sign up to Q cold but my name was on the sheet, so I was getting out of bed no matter the conditions.

BOM:
1 lap mosey around the parking lot to get the blood flowing
IC work
TTT x15
Windmill x15
At this point Quis got tired of my “Ready Ready” count and laid out the correct operating procedure call. I think that was his way of telling me to straighten up but you can’t teach an old dog new tricks so…….Ready Ready
SSH x15
6 count burpee x 10
Mosey to the concrete tables for 30 dips, 20 dips and 10 dips
Mosey to the planters for 20 box jumps, 15 right leg step up, 15 left leg step ups
Mosey to the pavilion for 20 incline merkins, 10 decline merkins, 20 incline merkins, 10 decline merkins
Mosey to the basketball ball court. Pax split up on opposite sides and complete 20 squat jumps, switch sides and another 20 squat jumps
Grab a block and mosey to the other side of the school to stations that were already set up. This being only my second time I didn’t realize there was a gate on the left side of the school, so we had to walk all the way around the school to get to the designated area. I will know better next time.
Each column under the breeze way had an exercise with a specified number of reps. Following the completion of each rep was 1 lap around the giant mound of dirt at the bus drop off. The pax split up into groups of no less than 2 and no more than 3. We didn’t make it all the way around, but the breakdown was:
5 Burpees
10 Merkins
15 Halos
20 Elf on the Shelf
25 Flutter kick (4 count)
30 Squats
35 Mtn Climber
40 Curls
45 American Hammer w/ block (2 count)
50 Chest Presses
Time called to take blocks back to the block pile ½ mile away. I am hoping upon my next visit I learn they have two block piles on opposite sides of the school
TurningPoint® men have a January challenge. At the conclusion of each workout they take the number 20 less the # of posting pax that day and complete that many burpees. Today we did 9. For all the Clemson fans out there, 20-9=11.
