BOM/Devo

Today’s devotional was a continuation of Saturday’s devotional on responding to an alter call.  When we respond to an alter call it is generally to seek help.  We may have a burden that we need help with, sin we need to repent of, or a call for strength.  Whatever the reason is, it can be difficult for us to make that journey down to our knees and bow down on that alter.  The difficulty becomes we are acknowledging the fact that we need help, that we have sinned, or that we are weak.  These are all difficult things to accept.  However, not acknowledging these things in our life and taking them to our father at the alter is far more difficult and damaging then sucking it up and doing the harder thing.  We do not need to carry our burdens by ourselves, we have been forgiven of our sins, and we are strongest when we are with the Lord.  So go to the alter, guarantee you won’t regret it.
