15 PAX showed up for a costume- friendly Halloween workout. The night before, a movement was started on Twitter and all PAX were encouraged to dress up like one of Turning Point’s all-time greats, Canseco. So the PAX came in layers of clothing, donning headlamps and knee braces/ sleeves and giving their favorite Canseco impersonations (“shooting stars, sometimes I don’t even like myself”, etc). It was great and Canseco truly appreciated the gesture as it was intended in a spirit of love and respect for a man who has had tremendous impact on every single person he has met at Turning Point. And Canseco brought homemade cinnamon rolls too. This guy literally couldn’t be more of a stud. Now for the workout:
Weather- humid and 70 or so
Mosey to block pile, grab a block and haul it back to shovel flag for COP- SSH, squats, arm circles, raise the roof, mountain climbers.
YHC had a bag full of candy for trick or treating, so the PAX hauled their block (Halloween bag) to and from the doors at Midway Elem. At each door the PAX pulled out a piece of candy and then based on the candy, YHC would call out an exercise that most closely related to that candy. The following exercises were performed:
Burpees x 10, T- plank merkins x 10, Wall sits for a while, rock hoppers x 10, Russian twistsx 20, curls for the girls x 10, boat canoes woth flutter kicks, merkins x 10 and maybe one or two more I missed.
Mosey back to block pile to drop off blocks and then back to shovel flag.
