DEVO

I’m God’s Man

“I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do” John 17:4 (the words of Jesus)

To think like this requires a different perspective toward oneself, toward life, and toward our real day-to-day purpose.  We have to have different objectives than the men around us.  We have to have eternal objectives.  We have to consider the spiritual stakes of inaction.  We have to expand the reality of what retreat means from God’s perspective.  It requires us to partner with God in our life and make sure we are daily dialed in to the right channel — a secure connection to His Word and Spirit with us.

Special Ops guys are great men, not because they possess amazing talent, but because they possess amazing commitment to the cause.  This is what makes them brave; this is why they are men of mythical proportions.

We are not a myth, my brother.  Neither is our calling today, the calling to be one who leads.

The message is simple, accept our assignments on earth, complete them, and become a true God’s man.  We must remember the giver of the assignment, remember His words, and remember that He lives in us.  To His Father He prayed, “I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do” John 17:4

We must accomplish the work He has given us. Everything else is a diversion.  Do you believe you are God’s man?

Father, thank you for the challenge of being a God’s Man. You have given me everything I need to accomplish the task.
