• When: 1/15/15
  • QIC: Nail Pop (Ninja/Apologetic/Good Cop/Bad Cop Q)
  • The PAX: Cheech, Peter, Treadmill, Purple Haze, Quest, Quiver, Pole Dance, Higgins (RESPECT), Meatball, Marinara, Finkle, Wapner, Crank Bait, Granola, and Nail Pop.

DANG, DANG, DANG, DANG, Mt. Midway!!!!!!!!

Whether: 34 degrees or close to that, it was actually pretty pleasant in this morning.

15 PAX posted at Turning Point for a #Weinkieless Q led by Nail Pop, no apologies today PAX, just some good ol’ hard work from everyone. Good Cop started the workout and then Bad Cop took over at the end. If you didn’t know this already, YHC likes to run and run a lot. Not near as much as Granola, but that fella can roll. While we were running to another location this morning he said he was going to run 22 miles in the morning. My first thought was “dang it boy”. Granola you are a true inspiration to us all and we have a lot to learn from you on the running front. Now to the business. Not Lord Business though.

BOM: Prayer by Nail Pop.

The thang:

Mosey to the front parking lot.

SSH x 30 IC

TTT x 30 IC

Merkins x 15 IC

Windmill x 30 IC

LBAC x 15 IC each way (forwards and “backards”)

OHAC x 30 IC

Mosey to the Wall at the Parking Lot.

1st exercise – Circuit work (Wall Jumps/Box Jumps and Plank Exercise)

– Wall Jumps/Box Jumps x 20

– 40 Plank Shoulder Taps (20 each hand)

– Wall Jumps/Box Jumps x 20

– 40 Plank Hip Slaps (20 each hand)

– Wall Jumps/Box Jumps x 20

– 20 Plank Reaches (forward and back with both hands is one rep)

2nd exercise – Split up in 3 TEAMS of 5 since we have 15 PAX for an AMRAP Indian Run

– This isn’t your typical Indian Run, not a conversational pace, make it a faster since you have less guys to get in some more work.

– Each TEAM split up and went to their parking lane. The PAX pushed themselves. We AMRAP’d for roughly 5 minutes.

Mosey to the back of the school to Mt. Midway as Treadmill named it this morning. This is where the #SnotWoggler took place.

3rd Exercise – #SNOTWOGGLER (Merkin and Smurf Jack something or another)

-1st time up Mt. Midway do 40 Merkins at the top and then 10 Smurf Jacks at the bottom

– Rinse and repeat this until you are down to 5 Merkins at the top and always 10 Smurf Jacks at the bottom

– The mumblechatter quickly stopped once YHC explained the exercise. The PAX pushed themselves thru and YHC had to call time as some of the PAX were finishing the exercise so we could do some other fun stuff like RUNNING, needless to say, they finished while we planked waiting for the overachievers, JK guys, great work. Looked much better on paper as it always does.

4th Exercise – Stay in your teams for a little friendly Relay Race

– Line up at the end of the track/soccer field with your TEAMS. Each PAX will run all the way to the end of the field and back while the other PAX plank. That’s a pretty good while to plank, but who said we didn’t need some shoulder work. Everyone pushed thru and we had some rabbits on the course to chase after to make us a little #better. Like they say at the Dog Track “Hear Comes Lucky!!!”

Mosey to the Breezeway.

5th Exercise – Peoples Chair with a few OHAClaps

-Each PAX grabbed a spot on the wall and found a seat or a Peoples Chair. I didn’t see any seats out there this morning. Who took all the dang seats? Must have been the kiddos. 2 minutes to be exact w/ 50 single count OHAClaps. No resting your hands on your legs, it’s not going to make you any better fellas. Great Job PAX.

6th Exercise – 3 minutes of Imperial Walkers for Walker

We had 3 minutes left to do some Imperial Walkers for Walker so that’s what we did. Kind of a Turning Point tradition since all this happened with Walker. The last 30 seconds you pump out as many as you can.

Great work this morning by all. Treadmill challenged us to think about Turning Point’s future. The numbers have been ok during the week, but low on the weekends. If you haven’t tried out this AO it’s a great one to attend. Many different things to do. We also need some more Q’s to step up and take charge at TP. If you are interested just let us know and we’ll get you on the schedule. I really look forward to these morning where we all get together and fellowship. Thanks for letting me lead guys. Y’all are making me better each day I come out #getbetter #F3Counts.

Devo by Treadmill, thanks Brother for stepping up.

Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17 Though we may be leaders at home, work, and community and feel like we need to control the situations, we need to keep things in perspective an realize that no matter how big we think we are, God is bigger.  He is always in control and we need to submit to his power, hand our issues to Him, and let him take the lead.
