Birthday bricks instead of candles

Sometimes when planning a workout, your brain locks up. It’s the story of “well, I’ve already done this workout, so and so did this one. What can I do that will be different, yet really push everyone?” It was YHC’s birthday, and things just weren’t coming to him. On top of that, it was raining like crazy as I was planning it and was also being mindful of an injured pax who may post. About 2:00 in the morning as I was taking care of my dog while he was having a seizure, it came to me (I know, I don’t know why I was thinking about this at that time, either). Read on to see what we did.

***The Thang:

Grab a pair bricks and head to the track.

Taking a cue from The Bounty, YHC decided to do some track work, only with bricks. We would do 110 intervals. Lower body exercise coupled with upper body brick work.

It was a random combination of lunges, reverse lunges, duck walk, regular walk, and side lunges while doing curls for the girls, shoulder presses, tricep extensions, still hold of bricks out front, OHC’s, LBAC’s. After about 40 yards, you begin to forget about the lunges and realize you still have 70 yards of OHC with bricks.

After the second 110, the mumble chatter increased significantly. YHC was asked on more than one occasion what he was thinking. To make matters worse, 2 nameless pax we thought were there to post for BC (as evidenced by their trucks being present), left during the first lap. Apparently, they were training for P200.

The 4 pax that were there put out strong effort.
