Easy Breezy in the Hollow Breezeway

YHC was asked to take part in the #WestSideTakeover Q event today, and graciously accepted his assignment to Q the men of the Hollow. 6 men ignored the threat of rain and yoga, and hopefully we all got better. Here is what we did:

Conditions: 58 deg. F & Soggy

Disclaimer & Prayer

The Thang:

Mosey across the parking lot near the breezeway and circle up:

– SSH X 15 IC
– TTT X 15 IC
– LBAC forward X 15 IC
– LBAC backerds X 15 IC

Line up in the breezeway for a little Indian Bear Crawl:
– All PAX in plank position, the PAX at the back of the line bear crawls to the front
– Continue all the way to the opposite end of the breezeway
– Recover

Find a column and get ready for some People’s Chair Indian Lunge:
– 2 PAX at the back lunge to the next available columns while the rest of the PAX hold People’s chair
– Backwards lunge if you’re feeling fancy
– Continue until the last columns are reached
– Recover

Follow YHC into the parking lot and partner up:
– Partner 1: Burpees AMRAP while…
– Partner 2: Bear Crawl to the curb and back
– Flap Jack
– Continue until you’ve completed 75 burpees as a team
– Recover

– Partner 1: Squats AMRAP while…
– Partner 2: Lunge to curb and back
– Flap Jack
– Continue until you’ve completed 100 squats as a team
– Recover

– Partner 1: Burpees AMRAP while…
– Partner 2: Crab Walk to the curb and back
– Flap Jack
– Continue until you’ve completed 50 Burpees as a team
– Recover

Mosey back to the breezeway for a little Al Gore Indian Lunge
– Line up single file in Al Gore position
– PAX at the back lunges to the front of the line
– Continue until you reach the opposite end of the breezeway

3-6-9
– Circle up and assume plank position
– 1st PAX starts count, followed by the PAX to his left
– Do not say any number containing 3, 6, or 9. Instead, perform a merkin.
– If any PAX says a number containing 3, 6, 9, he must enter the center of the circle and perform Burpees until another PAX messes up.
– Rinse and Repeat on your 6 in canoe position, performing crunches on the 3, 6, and 9 counts.

Recover!

Lessons Learned:
– YHC planned the workout around the breezeway to keep the PAX dry in case of rain. Maybe more would’ve shown if that had been announced ahead of time.
– Slumlord showed again why he is the King of the Crab Walk.
– Brick showed again that 3-6-9 just isn’t his game.
