YHC misses Al Gore! You know those guys out there that are natural leaders? Al is one of them. He was always at the front of the pack pushing us during workouts, and he was the first guy to VQ at The Smokehouse. It was a brutal one, so I dug through some of the old backblasts to bring his “backwards” day back to the smokehouse and see what we could do with it now. It still sucked…bad!
I think Al needs to go back to his old job so he can join us again in the gloom. Money’s not important Al, being there for us is more important (don’t tell your M I said that).

mosey to track. 1 lap around the track (backwards – opposite way runners usually go around a track)

Jump Squats x 25 OYO
TTT x 15 IC
Burpees x 15 OYO
Shoulder tap merkins x 10 IC
LBAC (F&B) x 10 IC
The Thang:
Moesy to brick pile and each PAX grab 2 bricks. Proceed to track.
reverse lunge 100 meters – Perform Flies with bricks while waiting on the 6.
mosey around the corner of the track
reverse lunge 100 meters – Perform Flies with bricks while waiting on the 6.
Mosey to the hill for some lucky 13’s. Run backwards up the hilll and perform 12 one-legged burpees (alternating legs each time). Bear crawl backwards down the hill and perform 1 diamond merkin. Rinse and Repeat until perform 13 diamond merkings and 1 one-legged burpeee. Nobody finished, once again. Same result as Al Gore’s VQ.
Finish with 100 meter forward lunge to get everybody back on track so PAX wouldn’t be driving to work in the wrong lane…or in reverse.
Put up blocks and mosey to the flag.
