A Beautiful Morning at the Graveyard

Inspired by Bulldog guest Qing at Detention a few weeks back, I decided to return the favor and bring some punishment to Graveyard.  Great time this morning working with those guys, lots of new faces and lots of familiar faces.  Let’s get to it:

Weather: immaculate, couldn’t have been better

Disclaimer/Intro

Down to the luxurious RBHS football field for some warm up:

  • 10 SSH
  • 15 TTT
  • 10 LBAC – PAX begin to bring the mumblechatter

Alternate 10 yards each of butt kickers and high knees all the way down the field, end zone to end zone. Mosey back to starting endzone.

Backpedal endzone to endzone.  Mosey back to starting endzone.

Bear crawl 50 yards, walking lunge 50 yards (end zone to end zone) turn around and bear crawl 50 yards, walking lunge 50 yards to return to starting end zone.

Four Corners:

Make 5 laps around the perimeter of the football field, mosey the long sides and carioca the short sides.  At each corner, do 10 reps of one of these exercises – squats, merkins, crunches, or burpees – doing a different one at each corner.

Core Suicides:

Starting at the goal line, run to the 10 yard line, do 10 crunches, run back and touch the goal line.  Run to the 20 yard line, do 20 crunches, run back and touch the goal line.  Repeat all the way to the 50 yard line.

Field Length Suicides:

Run one set of suicides on the football field, touching only the yardlines that end in 0 (10, 20, 30, etc.) for the entire field.  Total will be 1100 yards and you’ll feel every bit of it.

Great work by all men at Graveyard this morning, thanks for allowing me to come over and show y’all what Detention is all about!

Welcome FNG Toby!

Prayer Requests – several friends with medical concerns and tough situations

Devo:

2 Timothy 4:7 says “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Jeremiah 29:11 says “‘For I know the plans I have for you’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.'” These two verses tie together in the sense that God always has a plan for everyone, whether we can see it or not.  Run the race, fight the fight, and keep the faith the whole time knowing that God will see you through it.  We all go through highs and lows, these two verses are ones that I rely on when I’m down.  How can you not trust a God that knows every single thing that has ever and will ever happen?

Thanks again for having me Graveyard, had a blast.  Y’all come see us at Detention!
