YHC set out with a well thought out plan….on paper, laminated and all.. Uhm, sometimes you have to modify the Q, but never the #devo. Here is how it went down.

-SSH x 3ct @10 IC

Lunges 6 25
Mtn Climber 6 25
Tricep Dip 6 25
Coupon: Each man took a lap with Ruck/Blubber/Ruck/

The men of Detention and pushed through and we achieved our 1000 reps… except Postal, we aren’t sure how many he ended up with. We finished with a victory lap.

-#tclaps to the men who came out this a.m. Life is like playing cards, sometimes we are dealt with a good hand and sometimes a bad hand. You can choose to adapt and play it on out or you can fold. We chose option one. We didn’t get the 1000 reps the first way, but, we adapted and achieved the goal a alternate way. Sometimes things don’t go the way we want, but in order to have purpose, we must adapt and move on. What is your purpose?

I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “. . . plans to give you hope and a future.—Jeremiah 29:11 —

Things happen for a reason, people say. But many in our world disagree. Instead, they claim that our lives are just a series of random events and we have no real purpose.

Something in the human heart, though, bristles at that notion. How can our lives be random and without purpose? We all want to excel at some role we may be destined for. God helps us discover our life story. More than anything else the Bible is a storybook, telling how God shapes our lives. God not only made us (and with purpose); he also pursues us in spite of our sin.

God calls us to him and each other, so that we might love him forever. And he gives us his Spirit, so that we might live into the purpose he gives us.
