YHC had his semi-annual Q at the greatest AO in the world, otherwise known as #Thunder. 16 PAX joined me for an adventure around the grounds and streets of Hand Middle School. YHC has taken an inkling to the Cesspool approach of ‘Sure, let’s do this’.
Conditions – Mid 50’s and clear
YHC doled out the #disclaimer and immediately led the group in a full sprint out of the parking lot. After 20 yards of that we landed at the corner of Wilmot and King street.
5 burpees (we don’t need no stinkin’ SSH’s)
Take off down King street to Duncan.
Fast mosey to Duncan/Woodrow
Near sprint to Woodrow/Wilmot
8 burpees (oh damn Beta is absolutely sick of it)
Solo sprint to Wheat/Woodrow (errybody knows what’s coming)
4th gear jog to just outside of #Emily
10, no wait, 15! burpees
Now that the warmup was completed, YHC led the men down into the amphitheater for some semi-circle craziness.
With everyone assembled in a half circle facing the steps, the 2 PAX on the outside ran around the amphitheater while the remaining PAX planked. When they return, the next 2 go, and so on until all have ran.
We did that once while:
Plank, low plank, Plank jacks, planks, more planks, and other planks
We did it again while:
Holding 6 inches, flutters, 6 inches, 5 inches (the excitement wore off), Flutters, 3 inches (just to make Biggie Smalls feel better, oh wait, he HC’d and didn’t post)
After all that YHC led the PAX to the field near the playground. We all lined up as a group and got into the low plank position:
Low plank bear crawl about 30 yards (sounds fun, it’s great, you should do it too)
Hold plank, 20 merkins
Hold plank, reverse bear crawl back to the playground,
Hold plank, 20 Carolina Dry Docks
Rinse and Repeat!
Now that we dominated the park, YHC led a jailbreak back to the middle of Hand field. We all lined up facing the school and got into the PLANK position. Yes! I love to plank!
Repeat the ‘2 on the outside sprint’ exercise while we did:
Hold low pushup position (absolute #crowdpleaser, just ask Subby)
Continue while the PAX cycle through the sprints.
Rinse and Repeat!
Head back to the flag for 10 burpees!
