Balmy Bombs Land at Detention

Had a traveling Q that I wanted to introduce to the men of Detention and encourage a bunch of newer guys to travel around and see new AOs and PAX.  The cold weather rolled in the day before so it was guaranteed to be a good time, even though I didn’t wear a hoodie.  And the tunes were so good that H4T just decided to stride lightly the whole time. Here’s what we did.

Warm up in parking lot

20 SSH (fast ones apparently) IC

10 TTT (real nice slow ones) IC

20 LBAC F, 20 R

10 Michael Phelps OYO

10 six count burpees IC

Mosey to the back, specifically the bottom of The Prinicpal

Alternate exercises between top and bottom of hill

B – 1 burpee

A – 20 mountain climbers (abs)

L – 10 lunges

M – 5 merkins

Y – run to bottom of hill (You run there)

Add 1 burpee each round.  Pick a new ab exercise each round, number stays the same.  Add 5 lunges each round.  Add 5 merkins each round. At least that’s how it was supposed to happen – numbers got thrown off somewhere in there.  All I remember is Rook and Wingbat about to stuff me in a locker for calling 40 box cutters.  Work was done regardless.

Round 2 occurred going around the track.

Round 3 exercises were all done at the bottom of The Principal, with a sprint up and mosey down in between each exercise.

Round 4 was accomplished going around the track.

Round 5 was done the same as round 3. I think.  These men are out of control.  The Y in this round was an indian run around the track.

Head under the breezeway and partner up for BOMBS.

As one partner performs the exercise, the other goes up and back on a set of stairs.  Flip flop until the target number of reps is reached.  Then help another partner group get to the goal.

B – burpees – 50 per partner group

O – overhead clap – 100 per partner group

3 minute warning from Bar Crawl, mosey back to the flag for a quick finish

M – 10 merkins OYO


S – time was called which was good because I couldn’t remember what the S stood for.


Fun morning with an awesome, ever growing group of dudes.  These men have been getting after it non-stop! And not just on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Keep pushing that rock, boys.

This verse reminded me of the world we live in, constantly surrounded by bad influences and un-Christ like things.  Know that God is with you and fight back.
