The Beast proves to be no match for The Herd

11 of Jumanji’s heartiest gathered ’round the Shovel Flag awaiting to make their downpainment in the muggy gloom this AM. After several failed attempts to break The Herd, YHC thought that surely today was the day that he would tame these animals. All previous attempts to conquer this group had proven futile. Drastic measures since the last time at the helm as QIC had been taken, even to the extent of spending several hours reading books about animal husbandry and watching Ace Ventura I and II on a continuous loop until being kicked out of the media center of the Cayce-West Columbia Library.

Finally, inspiration struck. In the deep chasm of YHC’s mind, the ancient tactic of “Fight fire with fire” echoed out and the stage was set. In order to break something, you must bring something of like kind and force.

The time had come for #TheHerd to take on… THE BEAST!

The Beast

The Beast is a Charlotte invention predicated on 6 exercises repeated 6 times between sprints, with today’s variation done on a baseball field. Then, this series is repeated 6 times as the exercise is changed out. Hence the 666 set and the name of #TheBeast. (NOTE: Satan was in no way worshipped during this workout. But some animals may have been temporarily harmed during the course of these exercises.)

Start at home plate, 6 reps
Sprint to right field, 6 reps
Sprint to 3rd base, 6 reps
Sprint straight to 1st base, 6 reps

Moleskin: While the movement was frenetic and heavy was the load, #TheHerd once again rose to the challenge and took down yet another of YHC’s diabolical concoctions aimed to saddle them for domestication. There was some huffing & puffing and grunting & snorting by the pax, but in the end all 11 stood victorious over #TheBeast which had been slayed by #TheHerd.
