Warm ups IC
20 little arm circles
20 big arm circles
20 thru the tunnel
20 imperial walkers
Mosey to the bullpen
Alternate two exercises paired together starting with 10 reps of each. Drop 1 rep each time and work your way down to 1 (total of 55 for each).
1st circuit-Merkins & big boy sit-ups
2nd circuit-Decline Merkins & LBCs
3rd circuit-Shoulder taps & V-ups
4th circuit-Peter parkers & crab jacks (true crowd favorite, though Harp said his wouldn’t win any awards)
The pax crushed all four of these circuits to YHC’s astonishment with not even stopping for time to breathe.
Mosey to the pull-up bars
The pax were given 5 minutes to AMRAP pull-ups and laps around the bullpen. When you’re tired of one, go to the next.
Route 66 with Burpees- Run around the white knoll campus making eleven stops (or exits). YHC asked the pax to decide when they wanted to make stops. At each exit, an exercise is done (Burpees), starting with 1 at the first exit, increasing reps by 1 at each further exit and stopping at 11 for a total of 66 Burpees.
Once we made it back we circled up for some Mary. Harp led us in 35 flutter kicks (assisted by Honey bun on the four count as practice for his VQ coming soon), 25 LBCs, and 10 more Merkins for dessert.
YHC challenged the pax to remain strong in their faith as God puts them through various trials and tests. The weight of the world and the suffering we face sometimes seems unbearable and discourages us greatly. God wants to know that we trust Him and love Him in spite of what is going on in the world and in the lives of people around us. In Judges, Gideon tested the angel of the Lord to find out if God really trusted Gideon to do the work He was calling him to do and God tested him right back. God left him with 1% of the men he originally brought to battle to conquer the Midianites, and that’s all he needed. God knows exactly what we need too. Don’t doubt Him.
