Floppy Disk doesn’t do two wheels

YHC was glad to see the wind and rain calm down long enough to get the workout started.  YHC was also excited to see our popular K9 friend, Winston, join us this morning.  As the group was moseying around the school grounds, we had a straggler roll in; not on two wheels though, as most pax running late would.  Nope, this particular pax calmly drove to the parking lot, even backed into his spot, and then began to casually stroll towards the group.  With some egging on from other pax, YHC decided to have a little fun with this (more on this later).  Floppy finally joined the group and gave us an even number so YHC’s plan for the workout fell right into place.

Also had a strong showing with 7 pax at Cornerstone, lead by Notebook.  To everyone’s surprise, even his own, Notebook actually prepared for his Q at Cornerstone.  Might just be the first Q he has ever prepared for ahead of time.  Message was one of practicing random acts of kindness to show our love for others as Christians.

DEVO (borrowed from Notebook’s Cornerstone message): 2 Peter 1: 5-8

“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.”

Go out and practice random acts of kindness to show your love for others.  Look for those opportunities to help someone in need, or just to be kind to someone, in your daily life.
