Devotional: Luke 2:6-7

6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
Sometimes the word will speak to you in the moment.  This morning was one of those times.  “No guest room available”.  Our schedules during the Christmas season get filled quickly. It is very easy to lose focus on the reason for the season. The story from the bible makes it pretty obvious, why didn’t the inn keeper know who he was talking to.  But the inn keeper thought he was doing his job, keeping the inn filled, running a business, providing for his family. Let’s do our best to lead our families in making room for the Nativity this December, as Pew so eloquently said “Margin for the Manger.”
