Drag a Block

YHC saw a request the other week from the Detention shovel flag seeking to fill the Q sheet. Having never been to Detention, but knowing some of the pax that call this place home, YHC was happy to oblige. The pax did not disappoint as work was done and mumblechatter was a plenty. A word to the wise for future QICs: the Detention pax love Nickelback… Thanks for having me men!

Mosey to the back field and circle up for COP:

TTT x 10 IC

Mosey to the block pile, pick a good one, and venture to the soccer field within the track. Lights were placed down the field every 10yds with a total of 5 stations. The workout was as follows:

Down: block drag bear crawl to 1st light, 10 incline merkins; block drag bear crawl to 2nd light, 10 incline merkins; R&R to 5th light; run back to the first light and then back to your block and plank for the 6

Back: overhead carry to 1st light, 10 block squats; overhead carry to the 2nd light, 10 block squats; R&R to 5th light; run back to the first light and then back to your block and plank for the 6

Second set was the same but on the way down add 10 curls 4 the gurls and on the way back 10 kettle bell swings at every light

Third set added 10 shoulder press at every light (no return trip)

Mosey to the 4-tier hill behind the school for 11s – exercises were LBC and BBSU

Mosey back to the blocks and return to the block pile then back to the shovel flag

Takeaway: As men, we often want to do what we want, when we want, how we want. But to fulfill our commitment to Christ, we must stand within our boundaries and focus no only on ourselves but those around us. Focus on your weaknesses and improve those things, doing so will improve you as a man at the same time.
