YHC was honored when Scotch invited YHC to come out and Q the Pax at the Hollow. When YHC arrived a little early, there were about a dozen Pax standing around and waiting. YHC knew it was going to be a good morning. The mumble chatter is strong with this group of Pax and never really waivered. Bravo!

The Pax of Shawshank have dug into what it means to be a man the past 2 months. That has led YHC to read a lot. Due to events of the past weekend YHC shared this:
“Aim up. Pay attention. Fix what you can fix. Don’t be arrogant in your knowledge. Strive for humility, because totalitarian pride manifests itself in intolerance, oppression, torture and death. Become aware of your own insufficiency – your cowardice, malevolence, resentment and hatred. Consider the murderousness of your own spirit before you dare accuse others, and before you attempt to repair the fabric of the world. Maybe it’s not the world that’s at fault. Maybe it’s you. You’ve failed to make the mark. You’ve missed the target. You’ve fallen short the glory of God. You’ve sinned. And all of that is your contribution to the insufficiency and evil of the world. And, above all, don’t lie. Don’t lie about anything, ever. Lying leads to Hell. It was the great and the small lies of the Nazi and Communist states that produced the deaths of millions.”
While on the surface this may seem like a harsh indictment of the human spirit and individual, it is not. It is a call to arms to do battle against the forces of evil. Do not let yourself be the evil one or accept the evil of others. Strive to be the best you can, to improve every day, to be the light that shines forth. Never underestimate your own capacity for sin, but make sure that you focus on your unlimited capacity to do good. Be not afraid to go against the crowd when the crowd is doing evil things. Strive for the truth and live for that truth so that evil cannot get a foothold in your presence. Every day that you bring His light, the following day more light will follow. The light is contagious, it only needs the strength of you to spread.
