Blocks and Balloons

YHC knew it would be a little warm in the gloom so a Q to help cool off was in order.  First the the PAX had to get sweaty and then the plan was to cool off.  It looked good on paper so now it was time to find out if it would work.  YHC rolled in a little early to deposit a cooler behind the school, but the 4 Cornerstone PAX got a hint.

Conditions: 74 and humid.

Big boy sit ups/Farmer carry

Shoulder press/ Curls while carrying

Put blocks down and mosey to the B-ball court.
Bear crawl one court. Note to the PAX that this will be the bear crawl for later reference.

Mosey back to the light open the cooler to reveal a pile of water balloons.

The Game:

Each pair grab a balloon and stand on opposite sides of the sidewalk. Balloon toss. Take two backward lunges after each throw to widen the gap. If the balloon breaks run down the sidewalk to the school and back to the cooler going between the other PAX.  If a running PAX can break another pairs balloon or is hit with one, that pair has to go bear crawl the b-ball court before getting another balloon.

After a few rounds there was more running than bear crawls.  Time to modify.  New rule was 3 burpees on a broken balloon before running.

Time was called, balloon scraps were picked up and block returned to the pile. 1 balloon was left out of 60 so the game was considered a success.
