BlackJack

Conditions: It was cool but not as cold as it has been the last few days. Dry. Good weather for a BC
YHC wanted to come up with something creative, as is his nature, that doesn’t include him calling cadence for an hour. One of his favorite BCs is “Deck of Death” but he decided to change it up. Instead of just flipping a card to determine the next workout and number of sets, I wanted to give the Pax a chance to “choose their own destiny”. So, we played a little blackjack.
The rules were simple, just like “Deck of Death” the face of the card determined the exercise and the number determined the reps. Spades=Squats, Clubs=BBSU, Hearts=Merkins, Diamonds=Mnt Climbers. 2 cards were dealt, and the Pax had a choice to hit or stay. If they stayed they completed the work, if they hit a 3rd card was added to the mix. If they busted they did the work on the cards, then did burpees for the total number showing on the cards. If they hit 21 everyone did a lap of the TomCat.
2 laps of the TomCat were completed as were 89 Burpees. I can’t remember the rest of the reps, but we got all the way through 1 deck. At the end I was sufficiently wooped.
5 guys did a little Ruck-Lite before BC, T-Claps to Kenwood for showing up at 4:20 AM to ruck with me.
