Are you sure this is a GOOD IDEA?

Some of you know my 9-to-5 gives me the opportunity to write-up workouts for high school athletes looking to gain a competitive edge. From time to time after taking a group of student athletes through a workout, I reflect and ask myself, “Was that REALLY a GOOD IDEA?” Last night, and this morning (Sorry Escobar!),  I put my mind to work on a Cryptonite-worthy workout. As you can see from the title of this back blast, I asked myself (post-Q), “Was that REALLY a GOOD IDEA?”

Conditions: IDK. I wasn’t freezing to death, so good I guess.

The Thang:

Disclaimer (I don’t think anyone ever mistook me for a professional)

BOM

Mosey to blocks (not close), Mosey back to outdoor gym with blocks (always a bad idea)

Superset: Dips/Block Curls x 75 reps a piece

Run 1 Mile with 10 Burpees at the River Bluff Sign

Superset: Pull Ups/Push Ups x 50 reps a piece

Run 1 Mile with 10 Burpees at the River Bluff Sign

Superset: Tire Flips/Block Swings x 25 reps a piece

Mary…cause the thought of another mile with burpees was unbearable (crunches, flutter kicks, windshield wipers, boat-canoes [RC insisted])

Prayer Requests:

-Moist’s sister

-Ponzi’s knee and general recovery of all PAX

-Our community’s students

Moleskin:

-YHC: Remind me to forget this workout.

-RC asked about coffeteria. I think we were all interested, but had to take a rain-check. RC, I will definitely join you for a coffee after @F3Cryptonite, just couldn’t make it happen today.
