2-16-2019 and Bombs Away

Conditions: Light mist but a pleasant 56 degrees.

The Thang:
No FNG’s

Warmup – It had been a while since YHC had Q’d at Boneyard, so I wanted to come up with something a little different than the burpees or merkins I usually do. So I did a tribute to the non-significant date 2/16/2019 so the number of reps I did were: 2, 16, 20 and 19.

  • 2 Burpees (OYO)
  • Through the Tunnel-16 IC (Fully erect, Tinkle style)
  • Little Baby Arm Circles-20 Fwd, 20 Reverse (I slipped up and did an inflection at 19.. OOPS)
  • Side Straddle Hop -19 IC
  • 2 Burpees (OYO)
  • Windmill- 16 IC
  • Overhead Clap –20 IC
  • 8 Count Turn & Bounce –19 IC
  • 2 Burpees (OYO)
  • Imperial Walker – 16 IC
  • Squats – 20 Slow, Abe Vigoda Style
  • American Hammer – 19 IC

Mosey to the block pile and get a block. YHC was going to use the band practice field to run the B.O.M.B.S., but the grass was pretty wet, so I set up the cones under the canopy at approximately 10-yard intervals. The PAX partnered up and assembled at the end of the canopy.

B.O.M.B.S Away!

  • “B” One PAX bear crawls to the first cone while the other does burpees. Swap positions when they return. Keep going until 50 burpees are done.
  • “O” One PAX does farmers carry with two blocks to the second cone while the other does overhead claps. Swap positions when they return. Keep going until 100 overhead claps are done. (Copay noted it was actually the third cone…. technicalities…. sigh)
  • “M” One PAX  does tricep extensions with one coupon to the third cone while the other does merkins. Swap positions when they return. Keep going until 150 merkins are done.
  • “B” One PAX does a Cusack to the fourth cone while the other PAX does big boy situps. Swap positions when they return. Keep going until 200 big boy situps are done.
  • “S” One PAX does curls for the girls to the fifth cone while the other PAX does squats. Swap positions when they return. Keep going until 250 squats are done.

We still had a time left so we did some Tabata style exercises 20 seconds exercising and 10 seconds rest.

  • Calf raises – 4 cycles (I cut this one short as my legs ached)
  • Curls for the Girls – 6 cycles
  • Squats – 5 cycles
  • Tricep extensions – 5 cycles
