Coulda Built a House With All Those Bricks

13 pax braved the gloom this morning for a PT test .  After the PT test we unloaded about 40 bricks from Mungo’s SUV and hauled them to the blockpile.  Little did the pax know that the bricks were foreshadowing what was to come.  It was apparent that most of the pax have not picked up a basketball in many years…
Conditions: Perfect morning, 74 degrees and very little humidity

The Thang:

Warm Up COP
– Mosey to baseball field and one lap around
– SSH: x20 IC
– IW: x20 IC
– Good Morning: x20 IC
– Merkins: 5 OYO
– BBSU: 5 OYO

Mosey to Shovel Flag for PT test
– Partner up for PT test
– Merkins AMRAP for 2 min
– BBSU’s AMRAP for 2 min

Run to black top at CMS for a little basketball…F3 style
– Each pax gets a turn to make a free throw length shot. You only get 5 chances. However many tries it takes you to make your first basket is how many burpees the group has to do.
– While one pax is busy bricking free throws the remainder are doing AMRAP of the following, it    rotates with each free throw shooter:
o Low plank
o Flutter kicks
o Squats
o Lunges
o 6″

– The inability of the pax to hit their free throws early led to a great workout of 50+ burpees.

– Run back to the parking lot at CCP and line up for a sprint to the shovel flag.  The pax put themselves in the situation that many of them will be in on Aug 30th as they round the last corner of the 5k at CCP and can see and taste the finish line.  Find someone in front of you and track them down.  All out, leave nothing on the course.
