An all-star group of 8 pax sweated their way around the Roost this morning before classes start back. With it being a new school year, YHC wanted to offer up a fresh new workout. Here’s how it went down:
Conditions: 77 and 98% humidity with high hopes of cooler temps in the near future
No FNGs. Disclaimer. Head down between school and stadium to corner of parking lot and circle up.

Burpee Snake (kind of like a pop quiz on the first day of classs): Burpee at first parking spot, run down parking lot row, burpee at end. Turn and move on to next row repeating burpees at beginning and end for 7 rows. Once complete, do it again making way back to starting point.
Move over to side parking spots and line up along the parking space line. Broad jump to next line and then do 5 merkins. Rinse and repeat across 10 parking lines.
Head down to drop off loop. Start 36 reps of called exercise, run the loop. Rinse and repeat through the 5 following exercises:
Plank Jacks, Squats, LBCs, Merkins, Flutter Kicks
(Inquiring minds wondered why it was 36 reps. 36 reps x 5 for 180 total = total days in school year)
Head to front of school and stop about 1/3 of the way up the hill. Partner up. P1 lunges up the hill while P2 does 10 squats and flip flops. Continue until you reach the gate.
Head over to wall. P1 wall sits while P2 runs to fence and back. Flip flop.
Head back to the track and cover enough distance on track to hit 3 miles. Circle up for Flutter kick and plank sequence until time was called.
Solid work by all this morning. YHC didn’t realize how much ground we were going to cover until close to the end. Any breeze we got was a welcome relief.
