Scramble – Wednesday, February 7, 2018

YHC put a call out to the pax for a 5:15 start as opposed to the regular 5:30 start so that we could be sure to get in a solid 6 miles. P200 training is now in full swing, and the plan called for 6 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. 6 pax obliged for the 5:15 start. Taurasi showed up at 5:30 and put in the work on his own. Sorry you didn’t get the message about early start.

Conditions: about 50, a little wet, but really it was perfect

The Thang:
YHC posted the route the night before. Someone commented that the route looked like an Easter Island statue. The route as originally planned had some twists and turns through Landrum, Ivy Hall, etc., but as you’ll see below, YHC straightened it out to go straight up Bethel Church.

Up Forest Drive to Atascadero, down Atascadero and left on Bethel Church Road. All the way UP Bethel Church Road to Satchel Ford Road. Let me mention, that by the time you have reached the end of Bethel Church you are at a higher elevation than the top of Atascedero. Bethel Church is a long slog. Right on Satchel Ford, and an immediate left on Meadow Wood. Left on Sylvan to Trenholm. Right on Trenholm for the straight shot back to COT.

Announcements: F3/FIA open house at River Rat at 3pm Sunday.
