16 PAX (including 1 FNG!) came out for my almost perfect Q this morning. I say almost because as the QIC was leading some work in cadence, a couple of extremely minor hiccups almost got him booted as Misfire threatened the 3 strikes and your out rule. I think he was all fired up this morning as he reflected on the current state of kids sports, Gamecock football, McNugget and Pinkman’s upcoming Q, etc. Enough with all that, now to the workout.
Condition: 61 and humid… is winter over already??
20 SSH IC, 20 Through the tunnel IC, 20 Imperial Walkers IC, 20 LBC OYO
Main Event Part 1
Mosey up Briarfield to Landrum to Oakhill to Satchelford ending in the Satchelford school parking lot. At each intersection we did some exercises. We started with 5 burpees, and then added an exercise each intersection until we did 5 burpees, 10 flutter kicks IC, 15 squats, and 20 OHC. Then we took away an exercise each intersection until we ended with 5 burpees.
In total: 7 stops, 35 burpees, 50 Flutter kick IC, 45 squats, 20 OHC
Then we lined up on the curb for the namesake of this workout
12 days of Christmas
Just like the song, each ‘day’ adds a number while also going through each other number. Odd numbers were merkins, even were BBSU. In between, we ran to the other side of the parking lot. So it went like this:
1 merkin, mosey
2 BBSU, 1 Merkin, mosey
3 Merkins, 2 BBSU, 1 Merkin, mosey
4 BBSU, 3 merkins, 2 BBSU, 1 Merkin, mosey
you get the idea…. all the way up to 12BB, 11M, 10BB, 9M, 8BB, 7M, 6BB, 5M, 4BB, 3M, 2BB, 1M.
Totals (if i did my math correctly): 182 Merkins, 182 BBSU
Then, the beaten down group of PAX took a slow mosey back to COT.
Announcements: F3 Columbia Christmas party this Sunday at Steel Hands Brewery.
Prayer requests: RA and his family as they settle in Chicago
