Battle of Pine Street Hill—It’s a Repeat.

We last did the Battle of Pine Street Hill in April, following the Cup and Easter. What better way to see how we’ve improved on this benchmark workout than to do a rinse and repeat. Major difference: It was 50 degrees and no humidity back then. This morning—lots of humidity and 75 degrees according to Apple. Not to mention it was done after a long Labor Day Weekend.

Warm-A-Rama: All in Cadence.

  1. SSH x 15
  2. Copper Head Squat x 15.
  3. Crunches X 20 OYO.

The Thang: Grab some bricks—they are your friend.

  1. Indian Run with bricks to Top of Pine Street.
  2. BLACK JACK—all exercises to reach 21 ascending and descending.
    1. 20 Merkins at base of Pine Street; Run up to top of Pine Street with Bricks and do 1 BBS;
    2. 19 Merkins, 2 BBS;
    3. 18 Merkins, 3 BBS, etc.

  1. After BLACK JACK, run back to Rectory Square via Indian Run to return the bricks.

We then moseyed back to the flag for COT, Counteramma, and BOM.

No announcements, but the QIC took a personal liberty this morning to add an “attitude to gratitude” portion that gave an opportunity for the PAX to share something that they are particularly grateful for and to allow our group, as a collective body, to pause and reflect upon the many life blessings (even if ever so small) in which we are incredibly thankful. While there were many shared, I think we can all be thankful for the news that Gameplan’s brother will be returning home soon after active duty service overseas.  Thank you, as always, for the opportunity to lead and be a part of this great group of men.
