1/25/22 Turning Point Boot Camp

Today Turning Point was blessed to have an FNG (Matt Wilson) join us today as an invite out by Booster. YHC hoping the new warm up drills would be successful…..should have done a dry run.

WARM UP CONTINUES
Broom stick warm up in a circle 5-6′ apart, each pax rushing to grab the standing stick before it falls, left by the pax to your right or left. Called on which direction to run by Q. The last 2 pax standing were Wapner and Simon Says. There were several incidents noted by YHC where some pax who “Will remAin Presently nameless” blatantly threw his broom stick down, thereby prohibiting any other pax from having a legitimate chance of retrieving it.
WARM UP CONTINUES
Basketball pass off team competition. 1st pax passes between legs to partner pax behind them, then they pass over their head…. and so forth all the way to the end of the line. After the last pax receives the ball, then they run to the front of the line. First team to the other side of the parking lot wins. This challenge appeared to be well received by the group and involved coordination and speed…. the 2 teams finished relatively close together in competition.
Plank passing with basketball. Same teams of pax compete by passing ball using only one hand while rolling it on the ground. last one in line runs to the front of the line with the ball to keep the line moving toward the finish line in the parking lot.
While resting back on brick planter (important not to touch the rock memory planter) perform straight leg raises x 15 alternating legs..
Stand up then perform 20 squats
Return to brick planter on your back, then perform Alternating leg kicks (extending legs outward into full extension x 15
Knee bends upward x 15
Mosey to block pile
Grab a brick, then mosey to black top and grab a partner
Sit facing each other with feet squared up to each other and perform big boy sit ups with bricks. As pax come up into the sitting portion of the BBSU, they pass the 2 blocks to their partner and they place them on their shoulders and then do a big boy sit up with the blocks on your shoulders. Each time you come upright, pass the blocks to your partner. 30 REPS
Perform tricep press with partner passing bricks back and forth to each other x 20 reps.
Suicides on basketball court.
Lunges to half court and back to baseline.
Mosey back to flag for Mary
20 heel Taps
20 little Baby Crunches
20 knee cups (caps) …. you know what it is.
FNG naming…. Matt Wilson Just moved here a year ago from St. Louis Former Army but works on industrial engines and trains. Married with 3 small children, all under age 5…young. His sweatshirt read ‘STAY STEEL’ but the crew ended up deciding on D-Rail. Big Iron was quickly discarded because it was felt he liked it too much.
