Maze of Confusion at Urban Legend

It was a great turnout today at Urban Legend! So, what would a Q from YHC be without at least a little confusion of what we are doing? I would say I nailed it again today! Great work today, men.

Someone said this week that these types of AO’s are the best because they bring everyone together from different AO’s scattered throughout our region. This is a great way to put it. During the week, most of us go to one or two AO’s and do not get to see our brothers from across town often. These types of AO’s allow us to do that. YHC is honored to be asked to Q today.

Here’s how it went:

Conditions: 60ish; overcast

The Thang:

Quad circle next to courthouse:

Four corners, mosey to each corner (Corners of a circle?? Confused already…)
C1: Carolina Dry Docks x 25
C2: Flutter kicks x 25 each leg
C3: Plank Jacks x 25
C4: Burpees x 10

Mosey to Amphitheater:

•At bottom: Merkins x 10
•Jump squat onto seat/step then merkins x 10
•Rinse and repeat until all PAX reach the top (12 or so seat/steps)

Mosey to park east of amphitheater:

Split into two groups:

Group 1:
•Pull ups x 10

Group 2:
•Dips x 10
•Incline merkins x 10
•Decline merkins x 10

3 rounds; Switch stations until each PAX reaches 30 of each exercise

Lunge across the parking lot to sidewalk running through the park.

Mosey to parking garage

•At bottom of garage, squats x 50
•Bear crawl to top (top of what, the sky? Gate? Which gate, that one over there? We bear crawl all the way there? That’s what should of happened but the beat down wore thin at this point)
•50 squats at top (first gate you reach at the top)

Repeat first exercises at the Quad (burpees were skipped due to time)

C1: Carolina Dry Docks x 25
C2: Flutter kicks x 25 each leg
C3: Plank Jacks x 25

Mosey to bottom of church parking lot:
Run backwards up the hill, between 75 and 100 meters, then back to the bottom. Run one more time up the hill backwards.

Mosey back to virtual flag

Mary:

LBC x 50
Six inches x 1 minute

Moleskin:
YHC would like to take this opportunity to apologize to Wild Hog. YHC made fun of Wild Hog’s arm cast that he has for a bruised knuckle he suffered from a merciless Q a few weeks ago. YHC’s comments about applying certain ointments to the bruised area, while hilarious, were also very insensitive. YHC will refrain from such comments in the future and may refrain from asking the waitress at Lizard’s Thicket for a high chair for Wild Hog as well.

In all seriousness, this is one of the greatest things about F3. YHC has known Wild Hog about a year or so, but we had an instant sense of brotherhood, even though we attend different AO’s during the week. To be close to guys like this is a true blessing. Wild Hog represents this camaraderie every day. Even though we crack jokes with each other back and forth, that most people would be horrified by, WH is the same guy that made sure I had water during the P200 at mile 7 of my 8 mile run when “the struggle was real.” He encouraged me during the Iron PAX when I more than needed it. Of course he mooned our van as well at the P200, but that’s not the point. The point is, WH represents the best of F3, which is our ultimate goal. I am proud to call him a brother.
