Guess who’s back…

I’ll keep it simple…I’ve stayed away too long.  Too. damn. long.  Yes, I hurt my shoulder and that required some medical treatment and some time off.  But not as much time as I took.  I let life and all the things that entails, take me away from something that makes me better and hopefully, makes the other men of #TheCastle better too.

I am grateful for the fact that neither Turnpike nor Wham have given up on me.  They never took me off the schedule, even after I fartsacked my last Q.  I was the damn AOQ of #TheCastle and now I was fartsacking Qs.  What the hell happened to me?  That may be an existential question, but I decided not to dwell on the problem, but to fix in the simplest way possible: I posted.  I am writing all of this for two purposes: (1) it’s cathartic and instructive to say it “out loud” and (2) I can’t be all preachy here on Friday and then not show up on Monday.  This has to be the start of something.  It just has to be.  F3 has made a significant improvement in my life.  I need to stay on the path.  Help me and I’ll help you.

Conditions were 35 degrees and still.  Also, how shall we say, frosty.

The PAX were, as you might imagine, surprised to see me, though not overly sarcastic about my arrival.  It was appreciated, as was JarJar’s surprise appearance.  JarJar and I are coaching our U8 2.0s together and he’s a HIM I’ve been glad to get to know this fall.

The parking lot of the AO was pretty well covered in pinestraw, not particularly safe for work.  Thus, a mosey was in order.
