Counting Fun on New Year’s Day

10 pax posted at Depot to ring in the New Year with a mighty fine boot camp.  After all, you can’t post every day if you don’t post the first day.

Conditions: upper 60’s, humid, and the ground was wet (but then when isn’t the ground wet at Depot)

Disclaimer was given, and we jumped right into the fun.

SSH * 20 IC

SSH * 19 IC, mosey to bottom of the back entrance driveway

Plank Jacks * 20 IC

Plank Jacks * 19 IC, mosey to the bottom of the front entrance driveway

Monkey Humpers * 20 IC

Monkey Humpers * 19 IC (this was a crowd pleaser), mosey to the street

Squats * 20 OYO

Squats * 19 OYO, mosey back to the bottom of the front entrance driveway

Merkins * 20 OYO

Merkins * 19 OYO, mosey to the block pile, grab two blocks, and circle up in the parking lot.

Next, we did alternating exercises and a crawl/walk/lunge.

1. 20 curls, bear crawl around circle, 19 curls, bear crawl around circle.

2. 20 bent over rows, crab walk around circle, 19 bent over rows, crab walk around circle.

3. 20 overhead presses, lunge around circle, 19 overhead presses, lunge around circle.

4. 20 bench presses, dealer’s choice around circle, 19 bench presses, dealer’s choice around circle.

Then, we took both blocks to the top of the back entrance driveway.  In a nod to Bellhop, we did the block shuttle.  Carry one block down to the bottom, run back up, carry second block down to the bottom, run back up, run back down, farmer carry both blocks back up.  Thanks for the idea on this little bit of suck, Bellhop.

Next, we did a series of exercises. 20 decline merkins, 20 squats, 20 incline merkins, 20 monkey humpers.

For some unknown reason, we then decided to do the block shuttle once more.  During this exercise, Fools Gold informed me that there had to be a more efficient way to move blocks around.  We’ll work on that next time.

Lastly, we did another set of exercises. 19 decline merkins, 19 squats, 19 incline merkins, and 19 monkey humpers.  Believe it or not, we ran out of time during this last exercise so we returned our blocks to the pile and circled up around the flag.
