Moleskin: In F3 we’re always talking about getting better. Better physically, mentally, and spiritually. Since starting F3 about 4 years ago, YHC has tried to concentrate on being a better person. Not that I was bad before F3, but we all know there’s room for improvement. Sometimes I’m not a great person. I don’t pay enough attention to my M or my 2.0’s. Maybe there’s a co-worker I’m irritated with and I’m not very nice to them, or a stranger in the grocery store I should offer a smile or a kind word to, and don’t. You never know how reaching out to someone with kindness can affect their day. I love the F3 principal of living 3rd. This isn’t always easy to do, but I think it’s so important to who we are as a group. If we live by the principal of “I am 3rd “ just think how many lives we can change. One morning at LT, Knozit and I were talking, and he mentioned Dredd’s podcast about “Being the Bacon”. We all love bacon. It makes everything better! What a great analogy. It’s hard to be much better than bacon, right? Be the bacon when you enter the room. Make everyone feel better about themselves or be a positive influence on someone who needs help. This is a principal I can get behind. It’s not easy to do, but we can learn from each other. There are so many guys in this group that are “being the bacon” in this life. It really all goes back to the question about what we want our legacy to be. I’d love to be known as a guy that did his best to make things better for the people around me. Hold me to it and I’ll do the same for you. Aye!
