Wander gets introduced to the Rings-o-Fire Farmer’s Carry

YHC had the Q today and didn’t want to let the PAX down by not bringing toys.  So I implemented an idea I had been thinking about for a while.  A quick trip to the hardware store for some small chain and clamps, plus my two 45# ruck plates and 2 rings (whatever you call those things) where all I needed to make the Rings-o-Fire Farmer’s Carry coupon.  Rings… because you carried by the rings.  Farmer’s Carry… because that was the motion.  Fire… because it didn’t take long for your grip/forearms/traps to start burning.

I put the coupon together, picked it up, gave it the “is it gonna hold together” test, and put it in the Jeep.  I didn’t give it a dry run myself.  I say this because I was admittedly surprised how tough it was.  It pretty much kicked all our butts.  You’d go about 1/10th of a mile and you were looking for someone to relieve you.  But we all hung in there and each carried about 7-8 times over the 3.1 miles.

Weather: low 50s.  Not bad.

1 minute warning, no FNGs, forgot disclaimer, prayer.
