It’s Better Than Bad, It’s GOOD!

Despite the warnings of awaiting props and the need for hand protection, 7 Pax bravely rose in the earliest gloom for another exciting Take-a-Number mystery prop beat down. After scouring Lexington County for the heaviest telephone poles available and slaving away for a couple of hours in the shop, YHC emerged with a truck-bed full of perfectly precise pain promoting poles. The exact specifications of the poles are to be remembered as 10 foot in length and 6 foot in diameter and weighing somewhere north of a F150 with a load of manure. (I wouldn’t write it in the backblast if it wasn’t the truth)

Weather: the weather was still in bed when we started but it was 55 when it finally woke up

Time for the suck fest:

YHC lowered his tailgate and displayed the poles of pain to the anticipating pax. Mumblechatter quickly picked up and I believe someone mentioned still being able to make it to Graveyard. The teams were selected 3 tall dudes on this one and you 4 short guys grab that one.

Team Carry log down the ski slope to the park benches for a little detour.

Set logs down, DIPS!! x 15 IC

Declined Merkin’s x 8 IC

 

Pick up Logs and head to center of soccer field

Lift logs overhead x 5 as a team (someone better count!)

Put one foot on the log and we do squats x 15 IC

Switch feet and do squats x 15 IC

One teammate straddles the log and does log lifts x 15

while other PAX hold 6″. Do this until everyone is finished.

Repeat with the Pax doing merkins instead of 6”

Everyone get in a curl position with your logs and bend straight over

and then stand right back up. Do this x 5 as a team

Pick up logs and lift overhead. Log raises x 5 again

3 mores times just for kicks

Carry logs to the edge of the field. 1 teammate lifts the log end over end until

reaching midfield. Once that has been done they sprint the remainder of the distance and back to the starting point.

Then the next team mate goes. Do this until everyone has gone and the log reaches the starting point. All the while the team

is doing random suck-ercises.

LBCs, Flutter kicks, BBSUs

Pick up log and walk the zig-zag sidewalk back up the hill to the truck (the long way)

Put logs back in truck and lay in the grass…Little core workout
