Merkins, burpees, and ladders. Nothing else follows.

Condition, 60 degrees, partly cloudy with 100 percent chance of pain.

Quick prayer to start this group off with clear minds and joyful hearts.

Warm up- 1 lap around the Woodshed track mixing in high knees, butt kick, and karaoke in both direction.

The Thang:

Mosey down Olde Knight onto Moss Spring left  on Arrow Field ending at Marthas Glen, stopping several times along the way alternating between merkins and burpees. First stop= 5 merkins second stop=1 burpee third stop=4 merkins forth stop=2 burpees etc. decreasing merkins by 1 count and increasing burpees by 1 count until we arrived at the top off Marthas Glen where we finished with 5 burpees and 1 merkin. Little did the Pax know, that was that was the down painment for what they were about to encounter.

Alternate version of Jacob’s Ladder.

Took a right turn on Marthas Glen and stopped at the bottom (middle) of the hill. 1 burpee at the bottom (middle) then run to the top for 10 merkins. Increasing burpees while decreasing merkins each round until all Pax finish with 10 burpees and 1 merkin. Although we really did stop at the middle of the hill and not the bottom, the Pax thought it would be fun to pick on the Q for his definition of the BOTTOM. After all were finished, the Pax respected the Q’s definition of the bottom (enough said?).

Moleskin: Morale among the Pax was high and all push themselves and each other to get better as they do day after day. What an honor to work among the best of the best.
