Dudes of Detention put in the work this morning. They got after it. They brought some quality mumblechatter as well. Here’s what we did:
20 SSH IC
10 TTT IC
10 squats IC
10 merkins IC
5 slow windmills, 5 fast windmills IC
10 IW IC
10 LBAC F IC
10 LBAC R IC
Mosey over to block pile and find the concrete masonry unit of your choice. Relocate it back to the basketball court and reform warm up circle.
PAX drew from a deck of notecards for an every minute, on the minute (EMOM) style workout. Draw a card, call out the exercise. 1 minute to perform the designated number of reps. Any time you have left over is rest time. Use your time wisely.
15 OH press with your block – 5 rounds
15 kettlebell swings with your block – 5 rounds
15 jump squats – 5 rounds
10 burpees – 5 rounds (these were modified to 2 minute rounds)
20 situps – 4 rounds bc no one likes Mary – BBSU or LBCs were both acceptable, you vs. you
5 squat thrusters with your block – 3 rounds before we ran out of time
Put blocks away, head back to the flag.

- Detention boys brought some solid mumblechatter this morning, tried to throw me off my game. Almost accomplished. Better luck next time.
- For always working out at a school, these guys really struggle with basic counting.
- Bar Crawl left the shovel flag even though he’s at the beach.
- Some serious Strava segment competition in and around DET Stridelite the last few weeks, come see if you can claim a crown #ISI
Devo:
Found a picture on Facebook recently of an ax and a razor blade. It read “The razor blade is sharp but can’t cut a tree; the axe is strong but can’t cut the hair. Everyone is important according to his or her own unique purpose. Never look down on anyone unless you are admiring their shoes.” – Tons of good things we could glean from that but really, just take it at face value. The last sentence is something we can strive for every day.
