They are among us

4 PAX responded to put into practice the phrase “more than just a work out” today on a clear and warm day.  We talk about it often and today we put it into practice. After boot camp and an extended coffeeteria we went to work.  Some guys ran 4 miles prior to boot camp and talked about needing to do some work at their own home afterwards. Would that be considered a quadruple down?

They are among us.  There are senior citizens, disabled veterans, disabled citizens and those in need.  They are all over our neighborhoods and communities.  They might not need help as they have family that step up.  Some have neighbors and friends.  Some have nobody and have too much pride to ask. What do we do then? You just do it. Get some guys together and tell the recipient you are doing it.

This is the second time #theherd has assisted this disabled couple. The wife is legally blind and the husband is pretty much completely blind. It’s almost impossible for them to get out and make their yard look good. We picked up pinestraw, leaves and trash and ran a mower over the grass.

I could not be more proud to be a part of such a selfless group of men who sacrificed a few hours to put a smile on the faces of this couple.

I encourage all PAX to find a need in your communities and to meet it.  The opportunities are endless.
