Saturday Q Duty Part VIII and Saturday Q Review

Today’s Saturday Q duty took me to White Knoll High School AKA “Snake Pit.”  3 men responded to the call to get better on a breezy, clear, 53 degree morning.  After disclaimer and opening prayer we moseyed down the steps to the field.  Warm up with SSH, TT Tunnel, Windmills, Imp Walkers, Hillbillys etc.

Mosey to the brick pile, select a brick and return to the track.  Parts of the track were designated as exercise stations.  Imagine the track is a clock with the start point being the 1600 position.  At start point do 5 squats.  Carry block to 1500 position do 5 merkens.  Carry block to 1400 position do 5 big boy sit ups.  Carry block to the 2200 position 5 monkey humpers.  Carry block to the 2100 position do 5 plank jacks.  Carry block to the 2000 position do 5 iron crosses.  At the 1800 position put blocks down run up the steps and back down.  Rinse and repeat increasing the reps by 5 for each lap around the circuit.  A total of 75 of each of the exercises and 6 times up and down the mountain flight of steps.  By the time we got back to the shovel flag our time was up.  Good work by Harp and Sauerkraut. A few stories shared about riding and wrecking a 4 wheeler.  Ultimate Frisbee with 2 or 3 guys.  Block or brick toss in the dark.  That sounds stupid.  What time do we start?

Announcements:  Snake Pit looking for a few Qs for the week following.  2nd F in the works for “Kiffen” who is taking a job downrange and moving.

Prayer Requests:  Sauerkraut going on a group motorcycle ride today.

SATURDAY Q REVIEW:  The Saturday tour of AOs is complete.  A majority of my Saturdays this year have been spent away from my @f3Jumanji home.  I have been wanting to go on a tour of @F3Lexington AOs for quite some time now and found it best to tour Saturday AOs due to weekday time restraints.  I met new guys and saw familiar faces.  Men who get up early on any day, let alone Saturday, to do this are a special breed.  I hope that I have inspired and helped to make others better.  They have certainly made me better.  A shout out to all of you for welcoming me to your AO and allowing me the privilege of leading.  A few things I learned along the way.  @F3Graveyard likes to play Ultimate Frisbee on Saturday.  @F3Turningpoint there is a rooster the area that will wake you up before the PAX will.  @F3Thehollow had the most Saturday numbers at 16 PAX.  @F3Boneyard has the most “respect” and is the most patriotic (Pledge of Allegiance at end of each work out) @f3Smokehouse was the wettest as it rained on us, but they had the best #coffeeteria (Shealy’s BBQ).  @F3_C.A.T. had the least number of PAX at 2.  @F3Shawhank had the most and loudest mumble chatter thanks to Dumphy who is just loud in general.  @F3Snakepit has the biggest staircase available in the @F3Lexington area.  I only missed leading one Saturday AO (@kryptonite).  I believe this old fellow isn’t enough for those high octane guys.  Thanks again for all the warmth and hospitality.

DEVO:  From “The Book of Mysteries” by Jonathan Cahn (day #2 “The I Am of all I Ams)

It was by the second day that I realized that there would no set time frame for the teacher’s coming.  He came in the afternoon.

“Do you know the name of God?” asked the teacher.

“I do not know that I do.”

“It’s made up of four Hebrew letters, the yud, the heh, the vav, an the heh: YHVH. It is the most sacred name of names, so sacred some refuse to say it.  And yet you say it all the time.”

“The sacred name of God?” I replied. “How could I when I never knew it?”

“When you speak of yourself, you say the name.”

“I don’t Understand.”

“When you are happy, you say, ‘I am happy.’  And when you’re not you say ‘I am sad.’ when you tell others who you are, you say, ‘I am’ followed by your name. YVAH means ‘I Am.’  It’s the Name of the Eternal, the Name of God.  His name is I Am.”

“Then we all say his name.”

“Yes.  And you have always said it.  It is woven into the fabric of existence that when you speak of yourself, you must say His name.”

“Why is that?”

“It’s because your existence comes from His existence.  He is the I Am of all existence… the I Am of all I Ams.  Your I am only exists because of His I Am.  And as you exist from Him, so it is only from Him that you can find the reason and the purpose of your existence.  Therefore, when you say your name, you must always speak His name. And you must always speak His name first.”

“Because…”

“Because His existence is first and your existence flows from His.  That’s the flow of existence.  Therefore, you must put Him first and then let everything flow from that. Let everything begin with Him and flow fourth from Him.  That’s the secret of life.  To no only live for Him, but to live your life from Him, to live from His living, to move from His moving, to act from his actions, to feel from His heart, to be from His being, and to become who you are from His being, and to become who you are from He is..I Am.”

The Mission:  Today to learn the secret of living each moment from His life, doing from His doing, loving
