Around Lexington We Go

With all of the BRR training starting YHC felt that a distance run was in order. Sure, these crazy guys need some hill work to get ready for their mountain work, but YHC needs a little variety in life. There was definitely a new experience along the way, but this unfortunately turned out to be a cause for reflection and solemn prayer. Despite that, it is always therapeutic to get some miles on the shoes with the fellowship with the F3 brothers. 3 of the pax started out alone, but quickly found each other. The others came later, but 5 of us conquered the fartsack.

Conditions: 71F and 81% humidity. (I don’t know if sweated that much or if the air just clung to me,but I was soaked)

Opening Prayer and Route discussion.

Leave out of parking lot and head right to S. Church St. Turn right onto S. Church and take left onto West Main St. Take W. Main up the long, gentle hill to the intersection of #1. Run down #1 to Barr Road. Here is where we came upon what we would later learn was the scene of hit & run that cost an early morning motorcyclist his life. Take a left on Barr Rd and then take a right onto Satcher Road. Go down Satcher Road and take a left onto Pond View Lane. Take Pond View Ln. to Gibson Road and cross over to Claudius St. Take Claudius to Roberts St. and take a right. Take Roberts St. to S. Church St. and hang a left. Take it back to Maiden Ln, then to the courthouse parking lot. Total distance about 4.5-4.6 miles.

COT/BOM- Mac had to leave, but we found a Garmin sweating in the parking lot. Like any good super hero he showed up just at the nick of time.

Prayer requests
1. Continue to pray for the children, Audra, Walker, and Sebastian
2. Pray for the family of the victim in the Hit & Run
3. Pray for the family of the person involved in the Hit & Run. We’ve all made bad choices in life, but they too need our prayers.
