Yoga at Surge

The weatherman called for more of the wet stuff for this AM but he was again wrong.  His forecast must have scared away the pax.  Or maybe they wanted something a little harder than yoga.  We will never know.  However, the overachievers that joined YHC were all there for SL.  One did the harder thing and did XL.  Below is what went down.

Weather: 52 and glorious.  No rain. Wind out of the SSW at 7 mph.

Devo:  SHOW ME

Matthew 9:35-38

Then Jesus went to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness.  When He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were weary and worn out, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then He said to His disciples,  “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
When reading the gospels, something that stands out about Jesus is that Jesus saw people that others didn’t see. Matthew 9:36, says that Jesus, “Saw the crowds, (and) he had compassion on them…” Jesus saw what others missed. The blind, the poor, the paralyzed, the broken had become background noise to a lot of people in Jesus’ time, but not to Jesus. These were people to him – real, flesh and blood, living, breathing, hurting people.
I wonder how many people I miss every day. I’m either too busy, or preoccupied, or numb and I just miss it. I miss them. As you pray today, ask the Lord to help you see as He sees. Ask Him to break your with what breaks His heart. And then do life today with your eyes open. See what, or who, you’ve been missing. And be open to making a difference in someone’s life.
